Japan Express: Discover Authentic Ramen and Hibachi in Durham

If you want fast, inexpensive hibachi, Thai place will satisfy that craving. Always fast, hot and yummy. The staff is very friendly. They always give more than ample white and ginger sauce when you ask.

Very reasonable price. Decent food/value. Wish they would improve take out, because every time I've ordered it over the phone it has not been a good experience. The food is fine, and my order has not been messed up. But when you're placed on hold for 5+ minutes just to place an order that takes 30 seconds, it is a bit irritating. Their vegetables are actually really good They weren't too soft or overcooked, had a nice crunch and tasted fresh. Their meat was decent quality but not seasoned great, tasted like it had been sitting out. The noodles also didn't taste like they were seasoned, just thrown right on the grill with hardly any oil/nothing.

Please, please, PLEASE come to Nashville, you would have so much business if you expanded here. When I was in Raleigh Durham three weeks ago, I ended up stopping here for dinner three of the seven days I was here AND ordered one to take on the plane with me back home, that's how good it was. Extremely generous portions of steak, shrimp, and chicken over a huge mound of rice and grilled veggies for $11 AND WORTH EVERY PENNY. The white sauce and other garlic/flavored sauce made it even better, and if you can get some Sriracha to put on it, you'll be in heaven. There was NO place better.

The food was excellent for a Japanese place in the middle of North Carolina. The sushi did taste fresh. The atmosphere did not have the exact Japanese accents and feel. Other than that, though, food was well priced and very good.

Little hole in the wall can’t even lie. Teriyaki and hibachi chicken is amazing. I just tried the chicken udon and it’s top tier. Nice thick and chewy noodles 5 stars. Forgot to ask for no zucchini though.

They need better organization and customer service. I called in my order that was supposed to be ready in 20 minutes, then waited another 20 minutes because the cashier couldn't find it after going through several completed orders. She was rude when I asked for ginger sauce twice, so I asked the guy who stepped in to take over the register for her. He was great.

We came in tonight ordered a huge takeout from the soba noodles to the rice to the chicken to the shrimp to the steak to the sushi to the dumplings to the chicken & shrimp tempura everything was outstanding thank y’all my heart the food is beaming from the flavors.

Fast and friendly service. Hibachi chicken is awesome. Generous servings at a good price.
